About the Conference

"Eleanor Roosevelt famously said that education is essential to good citizenship and that education is important to life because it enables people to contribute to their community and their country."

India has the second largest higher-education system in the world and is witnessing a transformation with respect to the change in contextualizing higher education. The relevance of exploring, revising, upgrading and redesigning methods of teaching, learning and evaluation is of paramount importance. As educators, it has become necessary to have a dialogue- raising questions, seeking answers, interpreting evidence, implementing changes and examining their effects - without which teaching, learning and evaluation remains an empty and intellectually unfulfilling mechanical process.

In this context, the National Seminar on Teaching, Learning and Evaluation aims to bring under one canopy academicians, faculty members and policy makers to share views and ideas about new potentialities of delivering education and conducting evaluation and is intended as a guideline to those interested in serving students of different backgrounds and abilities, through effective teaching - learning experiences.

The Conference is organized into four tracks, carefully designed around the theme. You may organize your paper into one of the following tracks. Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Track 1: Teaching Learning Process - Undergraduate Level: Student enrolment and diversity issues, Teacher quality: student perspective, Evaluation of system efficiency and reforms, Role of governance and management in education at UG Level, Ethical values and education.
